Perhaps one thing missing under "Computer With Protools HD" is "software plug-ins" such as "Waves L1 Ultramaximizer+" to give it that "modern" sound. Personally I am amazed as to how "bad" a lot of the "remastered" CD's (of the past 15 - 20 years) sound. As I believe the legendary Sir George Martin was once quoted as having said, "All you need is ears".
I download MP4's straight from youtube. Surprisingly some sound really good such as Lady Gaga's Pokerface.
